    The WATO EX-30 & EX-20 Series of anesthesia machines are suitable for general anesthesia in a wide range of operating theatre patients from children to adults. With stable function, advanced safety design, reliable performance and user-friendly interface, the WATO gives clinical users basic monitoring measurements on a colorful LCD screen with up to 3 waveforms, including Paw, TVe, MV, Ppeak, and Pmean, with graphs of pressure and flow at the same time. Except basic ventilation modes, WATO still offers advanced modes such as SIMV applicable for spontaneous breathing of patients. The powerful data review supports 24-hour trends for alarm events. Besides the integrated monitoring parameters, WATO also provides external monitoring covering sidestream of EtCO2.

    The Mindray Anesthesia Machine (UK English) oranesthesia machine(US English) orBoyle’s machineis used independently by physiciananaesthesiologistsandnurse anaesthetists.Anaesthesiologist assistantsalso use anesthesia machines under the direct supervision of physician anesthesiologists. Anesthesia machines are used to support the administration ofanaesthesia. The most common type of anaesthetic machine in use in the developed world is thecontinuous-flow anaesthetic machine, which is designed to provide an accurate and continuous supply of medical gases (such asoxygenandnitrous oxide), mixed with an accurate concentration of anaesthetic vapour (such asisoflurane), and deliver this to the patient at a safepressureand flow. Modern machines incorporate a ventilator, suction unit, andpatient monitoringdevices.

    The original concept of Boyle’s machine was invented by the British anaesthetistHenry Boyle(1875–1941) in 1917. Prior to this time, anaesthetists often carried all their equipment with them, but the development of heavy, bulky cylinder storage and increasingly elaborate airway equipment meant that this was no longer practical for most circumstances. The anaesthetic machine is usually mounted on anti-static wheels for convenient transportation.
